Register to be a High School Student Mentee
deadline: October 15, 2025

To become an EnvironMentors High School Student Mentee, you need to be:

  • Interested in STEM research
  • Willing to learn new skills
  • Committed to meeting with your mentors for 1-3 hours, once a week, either in person or on Zoom (depending upon project, mentee, mentors, extracurriculars, optional events, etc.)
  • Committed to completing and presenting your research project at the Research Symposium
  • Amenable to participating in the UC Davis EnvironMentors activities and events, as your schedule permits

The UC Davis Research Symposium is hosted at UC Davis every spring for our mentees to showcase their research and present posters on their findings. Everyone is welcome to attend! Transportation will be coordinated.

Once accepted into the program, the registration for high school students needs to be completed by a parent/guardian. Additional parent/guardian permission slips will be required for any EnvironMentors field trips and campus events.

Each high school student participant of the UC Davis EnvironMentors chapter will receive a stipend to be put towards general expenses, such as transportation or office supplies.

If you have any questions or comments or would like assistance completing the registration process, please email [email protected]
